Well, this is certainly a far cry from Xanga. And, for the record, my familiarity with that other blogging site actually does not mean I am an experienced blogger, either (in all reality, I use it to document my creative writing... though no more. Hello, eDocs!). To be frank, my blogging experience actually is limited to Myspace, which is a far cry from any actual credited (if that is possible) blogging site (If curious, visit my page: http://www.myspace.com/theglasfordbum). So forgive me if I prattle on in search of Truth. I have not learned the conciseness needed to prove points in blogging. English majors have all the patience in the world, and all the vocabulary in the world, to write until they wear down their fingers to stumps.
My name is Sarah, and I am currently studying at University as an English major. To supplement my education (and help me figure out where the hell I'm going with my life), I've decided to take part in tutoring students at all levels of education at the Center for Teaching and Learning at my school. Thus, this blog will be the memoirs of my time spent as an undergrad peer tutor. Perhaps after compiling all my thoughts and hopes and letdowns and agony onto this blog, I can finally decide once and for all whether I want to be a teacher, professor, or not.
My name is Sarah, and I have absolutely, positively, no idea where I am going with my life.
And that's totally okay.
To prattle, I believe everything happens for a reason, and so leave a lot of things to fate. One day, I will probably look back on myself and curse the day of my birth, but for right now, I see opportunity and take it, or I don't and cruise along until the next opportunity. Carpe diem, and all that, really.
So, if anyone ever decides to catch any of my subsequent blogs on being an Undergrad Peer Tutor, perhaps they can see the positives and negatives of taking life as a roller coaster and just riding it.
See you in future,
Sarah
